Robert has been learning the bagpipes at the age of 7 when his Grandfather started to teach him. He was originally a member of St Andrews Pipe Band in Cheltenham. He later joined the Royal Marines where he accompanied the Royal Marines Band Service on several occasions around the world.
More recently Robert has started to compete in the international CLASP competition run by the National Piping Centre, in Glasgow. In 2021-competing in his grade-he was the End of Season Competition winner, and the World Piping Live 2020 overall winner.
Robert has represented the military in numerous televised (BBC & ITV) Remembrance services. Namely VE75 and WW1 Centenary. He was also the featured bagpiper in the latest Kingsman film - The King's Man released in 2021.
Based in Gloucestershire Robert regularly covers Cheltenham, Stroud, Bristol, Bath and Birmingham. He can travel all over the UK, and has played abroad on several occasions.
